... after metre out of my poor children.....

Noto is a very beautiful city with countless churches and campanile, but I'm afraid the touristy element is creeping in a little, which, while inevitable, turns me off a little.

I didn't even bother to look for almonds in Noto! Our experience in Bronte last week taught us that the last place you should look for something is in the city renowned for it..... I saw an amazing amount of pistachio products and ...

After 2 days of once daily, 1 day of twice daily, by Friday we were up to 3 pills, which resulted in Nuka falling asleep upright or ...

... garden, but has had a horrific history including being used as a prison for 5 thousand prisoners who died due to the plague. The quarry is about 30 metres deep and about 300 metres wide and the same length. It was covered with a roof but the roof was destroyed in an earthquake in the 16th century. While in the quarry, we visited a cave that had been cut out of the rock. The cave is about 40 metres deep and about ...

Ragusa - Exploring in the Shadows

... in the 12th century. We continued taking the peripheral walks around town to shield us from the summer sun. It was scorching!

In the Shadows of Ragusa. He showed me houses made in caves… you would have never known from the outside, covered by doors. We passed by the river, and small waterfalls you never thought existed in the area. From there, we came to a necropolis that looks like a scene from Tomb Raider. It was quite ...
