Today is beach day, but before going to the beach we would visit a small town (old fisherman village) called Marzememi. first of all the trip that looked easy on the map turned out to be a long trip through forgotten streets in the middle of nowhere. Colored wash was a different story, all went into the machine, but the machine would never go to the end of ...

Typing the blog on the right day, but not sure when we can publish as there is a problem with the internet here in our new home.

Indeed, from Agrigento we moved to the South-Eastern part of the Island in a place close to Noto. This area is famous for it baroc cities. There is Ragusa and Modica, two famous baroc cities that are both containing an 'old' part and a ‘new’ part. The story is ...

... up having more contact with the locals to confirm that we were going in the right direction. Some of the advice that we got was impeccable, telling us which road signs to ignore and which ones to follow. At key points unfortunately we got some very poor advice, probably from fellow travellers who were as lost as we were but did not want to acknowledge it to these foreign visitors.

Everyone was very hospitable and we got given loaves of bread and other gifts to ...
