The campsite was very good but because it is surrounded by flooded rice fields and salt marsh it was plagued by mosquitos. We did get too many bites but they are annoying!

We walked to the top where we enjoyed the views of the sea and town. Then had a lovely stroll back down the hill looking at ...

... we were to visit the town, the hairdresser mentioned a good patisserie and that was our first port of call for coffee and cake after parking up. Then we set off to explore the narrow, cobbled streets of the old town, built on a sandstone hill, giving fine views across the surrounding countryside. Midway up the street between buildings you come across a massive sandstone boulder precariously perched at an alarming angle. At the very top are ruins of the old castle and ...

I left David and Alison after breakfast today and drove a long way down the Spanish Coast to south of Tarragona. I am on a beach site overlooking the med but it's not very sunny! No idea how far I'll get tomorrow towards Mojacar but maybe all the way? We'll have to ...
