    ... woman ,began to build their own chiesa, adorned with mosaics and add sparkles to those already there .Theodoro even built a few of her own.
    The Ravenna of today is a small town , but has 8 Unesco world heritage sites of Byzantine mosaics. As we all know how I love glittery things so....it was on the list of " must do's".

    ... at a near by cafe to have some wine and watch the Bollywood movie that was playing. It was a nice way to relax after a day of travel.     ... hit the bike path in the heat. We made our way up the coast along the bike path adjacent to the beach. We made good time until we had a little trouble attempting to exit Cervia. Took a little while, with a slight diversion - OK, we got lost! Our path lead us onto the A14, a highway rather than on our minor road. Our guides gave us directions - people we stopped on the street and we were able to get back onto route SS16.

    Venice morning was another spin around the canals and then a little shopping. Even at the H&M sales. We then caught the slow boat to China - actually the ferry from the top of the main canal to the bus station (45 mins with all the stops) to meet Lee who was waiting to meet us with our black Opal station wagon hire car.
