... to see in front of you. You also had a beautiful view of the Swiss Alps from the outside bath. The materiality of the entire building is Valser Quartzite, which is a beautiful local stone. I can sit here and describe the building, but you don't get a sense of how wonderful the building is until you are there and experience it firsthand. We left Vals at six and took the bus back to Como where we spent the night again. The next morning we left Como on the bus and drove to Verona.

The slope was starting to shut down and the lifts stopped so we caught a bus back to Pontresina. The boys fortunately jumped on the same bus near St Moritz. We saw them as we pulled up having a snowball fight. Even though we tried to hide and pretend we didn’t know them, Bart recognized our gear and they found us. ... went down the slopes a bit faster and even through some deep snow. Was harder for Joel as he had to keep unstrapping the bindings and move around. The slopes were too short for him.

We played and practiced on the slopes for about an hour and half before we stopped for lunch at the café. Brigitte had to leave to do errands and we walked with Eric home. We had a go with our parenting skills a bit, but got him home and to a party at 1pm on time.

... we walked up the street to pick Eric up from school and buy some cheese and bread for dinner. On way home picked up ski gear and sleds from Bart’s work.

At home we helped Brigitte cook pumpkin soup also for dinner and ate quickly before meeting Bart and catching a train to Preda. The five of us were going for the longest sled run at nearly 8km long and runs under 3 bridges which the national train runs over. We walked a short distance ...

... somehow ended up being a bit of a interpreter to her own family! There was one uncle who could speak the very basic of English so between the two of us we managed to keep the conversation going.
