The mighty Dolomite Passes
... with all my winter gear on to keep cool and even had to open my jacket to let some cool air in. The heated grips had been switched off long ago.
With the weather so good I decided to make the most of it and raced along this wonderful winding road through the green valley surrounded by mountains.
However this race track did not last for long as I seen signs for "Agordina Mountain". I had heard about this mountain and its wonderful pass roads and so now ...
Onwards to find the Dolomites
... that my plans of heading via the mountains to Bolzano was going to be impossible as all the passes were closed!!! I looked at the map then the satnav for ways round but just could not work out where the hell I was. The signs on the road simply said "Pass Closed" and underneath said "Use alternative route"!!! I wonder what route we were supposed to take???
With the satnav sending me round in circles I simply got on a road heading East and followed that for mile after mile ...

Left padova train to Verona from there suppose to be a fast train to Bolzano, yes it broke down so were put on normal fast regional train, bugger, only ended up 30mins longer somehow normally 90 mins. A fantasia journy
... for 2 meters ahead and aviv cried but it was beautiful outside so it's all good!! We reached cortina...what a nice place, can be a background for muller commercial video, all around was green slopes with little Austrians style huts...we found our apartment easily, after all it's a small place. We started walking toward the center of town and then the rain started what a bad luck today...cortina is a very touristic place, not now, in the winter when all the ski activities are on. ...
