    ... than Iowa bars. When "Thrift Shop" came I, I nearly jumped out of my skin and proudly danced and rapped to the entire song. Yes, this is how the Americans do it!

    Everyday, I learn something new about myself. Everyday, I feel happy and fulfilled. Everyday, I change. I wake up in the morning without the slightest clue what I'll do that day or who I will meet and having such freedom, is completely indescribable. I will continue to make each day count. Skål!

    ... After shopping, Anneli made a nice dinner and then it was off to watch Alexander play soccer. It was fun to get out and watch soccer here; they have a new soccer field with the new style astro turf - sure wish we could have a field like this a home for the kids to play soccer on.

    Before bed, we had a nice visit with Phillip and Anneli while we ate the wonderful desert she had made. Now it's time to sleep....

    Awoke early to sounds of what appeared to be crushing ore above us (turned out to be track maintenance), packed up tent and walked up to reception before the midges woke up and ate us alive (we put midge nets on just in case they were awake). Val decided to try to walk to the train station (which we had seen, we thought, the night before).     Thank goodness for and sportscam otherwise I might have never "seen" the action of last night's game! I'm so excited for the Minnesota Twins! And the Vikings too! It's a great time to be a Minnesotan.

    But then again, every day is a great day to be a Minnesotan! :)

    Today was a great day. After a wonderful typical Swedish breakfast of pears, apples and bananas, followed by vanilla yogurt and granola, my new roommate, Rachel Hanson, and I headed out to rehearsal. ...
