    You can get different options from Siliguri, a town that is well connected with rest of India via train, bus and flight.
    Nearest Railway Station : New Jalpaiguri (NJP)

    I woke before the sun and went upstairs to hotel lounge to catch up on my blogging. The hotel is blocked to the east by other buildings, so it didn't occur to me that a spectacular sunrise might be in store. To the west were the Himalayas, Mt. Kangchenjunga (the world's third highest peak, behind Everest and K2) in the forefront, shrouded in shadow.

    Another exciting event was eating street food in the main square of Darjeeling. The stalls had benches parked up in front of them, positioned so you could watch your food being cooked in a live cookery show. They even had little drink holders to keep your cup of sweet, milky chai. I was attempting to learn Nepali from one of these chefs while Jeff was a million miles away, pipe-dreaming about extending this enterprise to Norwich Market.

I knew nothing about these but after seeing the Tibetan refugee camp and reading of the nastiness of China I feel like it would be appropriate.
