... Knights rebuilt in Malta. Although the Turks ruled justly there was a general decline in commerce and building over the next 400 years. The Italians took over the Island in 1912 and Mussolini restored much of the architecture. Eventually Rodos was handed back to Greece in 1948. Phew! A bit of a potted history! You can tell we have a sea day and I have a bit more time on my hands! We set off about 8.30 and took the bus past the old city and along the coast with long beaches and ...

And we are lucky enough to be on a ship small enough to go right into the harbor. It certainly was picturesque but not what I expected having been to Santorini with its iconic blue ...

... man announces that there will be no boat and asks how was the path. Path was nice and the absence of the boat doesn’t bother me. People usually come here with water taxi. Water is christal clear, some seaurchins. I move together with the approaching shadow along the beach until a Finnish yacht arrives. It’s time to start going back. Shadows are from the other side and again making photos takes a lot of time.
