... out of town. He drops us off at this remote building out in the middle of nowhere. The owner comes out with a smile, but we are surprised. This is not at all what we were expecting! Nobody speaks English. The taxi driver is asking, is this okay? The owner calls her daughter, who translates for her. Welcome, can I help you? Deb has a list of questions. Spent the morning exploring a track close to where we are staying, found ourselves on a secluded beach with a nude bather! Wasn't long before we had friends. Went off the beaten track climbing rocks which were obviously old walls, some great photo opportunties!

... was an option, but Gare, Erenna, and I didn't mind walking, even in the heat. Lumbarda is a very small, quaint town right along the water, known for beaches, great food, and wineries. We rented bicycles and rode around trying to find a lighthouse we were told about. The ride wasn't far, but it was very challenging at times as to find the lighthouse we had to leave the paved road and ride up some unpaved hills. May 20, Dubrovnik, " the Pearl of the Adriatic" Beautiful approach to this city, and we enjoyed a slower start. Easy access to port as we are right at the dock. We took the public bus in to town no trouble at all, and met some very pleasant "Yanks" in the process.To start we ventured to the cable car to get great views over Dubrovnik.
