... and hang out for a while. I can’t even really remember what else we did in Bar. I remember walking the long walk back to the train station early because we were so bored and cold. We played chess in the smoke-filled waiting room then hopped on the train.

Oh, and another thing: in Montenegro (and as you will read in a later blog entry, in Serbia) people can smoke almost anywhere. It’s crazy. Europe is much ...
Bar, Serbia and Montenegro mdaa... with neighboring Budva. They have a fortune at their finger tips and they don’t' even see it. What a shame.

Anyway, this is a great town that is seriously under rated. They have great beaches, incredibly nice locals, a beautiful harbor and an intriguing history. It's too bad their not marketing their city for all its pluses.

This evening we had pirates and winch’s theme party. It was fun.
Ulcinj, Serbia and Montenegro mylifesjourney... morning), it was an interesting place to stay. Our host was very friendly, the room comfortable and our balcony had views across the harbour that beat all the local hotels, from which the owner's son spent some time pointing out to us which of the superyachts belonged to Roman Abramovich. Bar's most famous tourist attraction is its old town, Stari Bar - perched on a mountain side it suffered heavy damage and was abandoned ...
Bar, Montenegro jiewu... When finished Mladic presented me with a gift. The book I posted online for you all to view, signing it to me under the alias name, Sharko thanking me for beautiful times spent together in Beograd. We embraced and he left as Darko interjected saying we had to hurry to the airport before I miss my flight. Darko's German friend delivered me back to Beograd airport the same manner as picked up. There was little time, my flight was actually locking the gate and about to depart without ...
Serbia and Montenegro, Serbia lpcyu... to stare out the windows, pulling out the camera to grab some snapshots of the view. The road we were on was hugging the side of a canyon that was cut out by glaciers however many years ago. At the bottom was a beautifully blue river that floated along, reflecting the scenery and adding to the drama. the road occasionally would cut through the canyon side through a variety of different length tunnels, and every time we came out of a tunnel, we never ...
Kotor, Serbia and Montenegro trg7... is just the big annual payment on my health insurance that went through only a couple days ago. It happens every year, so there's no reason for them to get alarmed over it. I tried to find a way to place a collect call through a big local hotel last night, but it was a no-go. So before I could go on with today's planned activities, I had to try and call through the post office. The one at the bus station didn't have a clue what I was talking about, so he sent ...
Bar, Serbia and Montenegro xerius... lodgings rather challenging...lucky for us, the taxi driver had a friend who owned a pension and so we spent the night (and the subsequent one as well) in Bar... To tell you the truth, there's not a great deal of things to do...it's more of a transport/ferry hub than an actual tourist destination... We simply took the time to relax and gear up to get to Kotor
Bar, Serbia and Montenegro papayaprincess... tower blocks, but what may have been an ordinary city elsewhere had a nice feel to it thanks to the precipitous coastal range backing it. The stunning weather made it even better, and I regretted not bringing a pair of sunglasses with me. Despite being early in the morning, I hadn't felt sun this strong since autumn when I first arrived in Poland. We didn't plan on spending too long in Bar, but while in Belgrade our friend Katerina from hospitality club recommended we spend a half ...
Bar, Montenegro will... seem to exist here, the bus station is a shed, the roads are in ruins and there are no street signs or anything like that. If its like this here, i hate to think what Albania must be like, since its supposed to be far worse. Dont think i will be going there. Instead my journey next takes me to Bar, which is a larger town a little further down the coast, where i can get a connection to Belgrade. Thats the plan anyway.
Kotor, Serbia and Montenegro nattai... gives you a gradually-illuminated view of old-town Dubrovnik early in the morning, as the sun slowly brightens the town. This is well worth getting up for, and it is close enough to the city that you could probably walk there, at dawn. After leaving the city behind, we cycled through miles upon miles of rural land, some farmed and some apparently wild, leaving the coast for the foothills of the mountains that climbed ...
