... my way to the famous Meiji Shrine. Dedicated to the late 19th-century emperor who opened Japan to the West, Tokyo's most famous shrine is wonderfully old fashioned, not colourful or flashy, like other Asian places of worship.My first impressions were WOW! The entrance is enormous!

... what we needed. We decided to stop by a local bar called Edy's on the way home. Edy was an eccentric Spanish guy that moved to Japan 6 yrs ago and then decided to open his bar 4 years ago. ... Furniture. Guest House Kanalian was like walking into a trippy wooden cabin that had the feel of a forest.

A bar made of wine corks, a huge plaque with the name Kanalian carved in wood, paintings of an Air Balloon and the rest of the trimmings that would make home in some "Tim Burton" story.
