... it's about allergies mainly and no-one bats and eyelid to see people walking around or serving you in the shops with them but still, very odd from my UK-centric view of things :)

So tomorrow i'm off to the Sumo basho taking place in Tokyo this week - i've been watching a bit on TV and it's exactly as i remember from when it was shown on Channel 4 all those years ago - a half-ton of man-blubber battering the **** out of each ...

The food was delicious and the company even better so we had a great meal. It was pretty late by the time we finished and I think they could tell I was tired so we got a taxi back to the station and then took the train back to Shinjuku where I thanked them both for an amazing day and we said our goodbyes. It was a fantastic Tokyo day. I'm looking forward to tomorrow too! ...

... was a 10 minute walk to Harajuku road. A teen shopping hub, very similar to Greenwich village, made famous by the Gwen Stephani song, "Harajuku Girls". Dianne and Caitlin checked out the shops while I checked out the people, the huge fake glasses, the platform shoes, the face masks and the lacy dresses – what a hoot. This was the total opposite of Kyoto's ...
