    Our first morning in Germany and we all slept until different times. Ann got up at 8 am; Dave at 11 am and Melody at 1:15. Ann and Dave ate breakfast together and Melody later.     Absolutely wonderful day in Wer*****ode. This quintessential German town dates back to 1121 and sits at the base of the Harz Mountains. The quaint and vibrant buildings helped the city earn its nickname as the "colorful town of the Harz."
