Hannover 96 vs Eintracht Frankfurt
The girls hung out with Lydia, Christina and baby Pia eating apple pie and coffee. Opa (Hans) and Oma Betschel (our Opa's brother and wife) visited which was just lovely to meet them. ... was they kept on driving on the left side of the road disrupting the other drivers! Luckily they still got their licences!
We then enjoyed a traditional German dinner at Lydia's house of white sausages, knodel, pretzels (soft) and potato salad- enjoyed by all. The kids all fell asleep at her house by 7pm- they are still trying to get used to the time difference. We enjoyed time with them talking about family and catching up.
Off to bed now and will post some ...
... the kids fell fast asleep in the back. So much so that when we tried to wake Rafa up to go to the hotel he just wouldn't, then when he finally did he was delirious. We told him to take some bags and he just walked straight past them. He had a really glassy look on his eyes like he was sleeping walking! Anyway, we settled in, showered and had a much needed big sleep.
Now we are all awake and going to have breakfast and explore!!! Enjoy the few pics!
Dry weather predicted for the full day, so here was my chance to do another hike.
My choice was between two other walks that were recommended to me, or a whole different one.
The two that were recommended were along a long mountain ridge sticking up out of the earth called the Teufelsmauer / Devil's Wall.

Looked around the town, had expensive, not-so-good coffee on the touristy main square (staff was a bit snooty too). When I asked whether they had wifi for the guests, she looked at me like I had just escaped from a lunatic asylum. No wifi anywhere in this whole Harz region, not that I could find anyway.
Lots of rain kind of limited the options ...
