      ICE is nice!

      The German train system is on strike until Monday. That is all BUT the ICE (intercity express) trains. So we did catch our 6:45 AM train from Brussels to Frankfurt. It was a little eerie to see all the trains parked. There were a few running but in most of the stations, like Koln and Bonn, we were the only train.

      On the way to pick up the rental car we had this great Iranian cab ...

      We arrive in Frankfurt around 11:00 a.m. David gets instructions on and where to take the train into the city. As we ride along I noticed that the color of the leaves are now turning yellow and orange. The country side is just beautiful. The part of the city that we saw was mapped out like a
      big mall. No traffic! You can walk in every direction and not have to cross a street. MY feet are holding up as we are going ...

      We walked Frankfurt's city centre, had to enjoy our first cup of cappuccino (see funny picture), and people watched all the fashionista's in this hub. The weather wasn't the greatest, but rain is better than snow! =P

      Lets just say our time in Frankfurt was Stone cold.

      ... modest garden by local standards...yeesh!). We didn't linger for too long though, as we all (well, except for Alex's grandmother) had an afternoon of arduous climbing ahead of us. We traveled to a nearby national park that serves as a haven for climbing enthusiasts and tried our hands at scaling the mountain's gradual incline across an ocean of massive boulders.
