... like a ski lift) up the hill to the Germania monument, built in 1871 for the reunification of Germany then walked the 5kms down the hill. Had a drink, then went shopping & back to the boat for lunch.
The next part of he Rhine is known for its castles, they were amazing, the cloud then started to move in so went inside for coffee & cake, like we needed more food.
Got a haircut, really impressed & only €18.

Got to the train station way ahead of time ...but better early than running for the train ... Had to catch a ferry across the river from the hotel to the train station ...interesting when every one loads on their bikes and scooters etc ...met some Aussies at the platform and ...as it goes they are in my carriage !! Lovely couple from Melbourne.so that will make the trip interesting. It's a 4 hour ...
By 3:30am Saturday morning I was looking out the window as Bangalore city lights faded from view.
We had a three hour layover at the Frankfurt airport and it turned out to be perfect because what I've heard is true...the Frankfurt airport is huge!
