    We are, apparently, out of season. This small town is host to lots of watersports enthusiasts as the season turns to summer, but right now they are still in preparation mode. We've seen restaurants being renovated, deckchairs being unpacked, patios being laid, a boat being launched. Some buildings look as tho they are still being built. We think we might prefer it like this! It's the most expensive place we've stayed, for both the room, and evening meals, even in low season. We ...

    ... Kazimierz had become run down over time but in the early 90's, after Schindler's List was filmed there, there was more development and interest in the area. As we walked along the streets we saw many galleries, assorted shops and Jewish themed restaurants. In fact, we enjoyed our time there so much we returned the next day to explore further..

    ... when it comes to how much traditional-folk-music-with-lyrics-in-a nother-language we can handle. There was an outstanding moment though when out of the 40 odd people on stage in their "traditional" outfits (white robes, and wreathes of flowers on their heads) bursts 3 teenage boys (also in the lovely hippy outfits) who broke out into a Ukrainian rap halfway through the choirs’ song.
