    ... and pastries in the square. We had a visit to San Gimignano which had an awesome view from the ruins at the top of the town. Andie treated us to a gelato and Don and I got a panini with cheese and prosciutto which we ate in the town square. The area has many vineyards which we sampled at our dinner at La Certosa Monastery that night. We had a guided tour through the monastery where only 4 monks aged 66-83 live. ...

    Arrived at Cutro, a small mountainside village scattered along the face of the mountain. No big castellos or defensive walls, just a village on the side and top of the mountain. While admiring the view from one of the towns piazzas, were approached by a cheerful gentleman who then proceeded to give us the third degree while sharing information about his village.
