This morning Lars promised a surprise but suggested I wear my walking shoes...so of course there wasn't too much suspense, just the guess at possible destinations.

Finally we continued on through a rougher part of the trail...forging one stream via some stepping stones until we were on the long uphill climb back to Beriardá.
Of course the walk is never complete without a stop for a cool drink and a little more conversation.
We enjoyed seeing Guadalest from a new direction!
... br> As always after our hike we adjourn to a local bar/cafe for a coffee or a cold drink and more time to talk. And then about noontime we returned to el Campello.
Lars and I parked our car in our garage and then changed into swimsuits and headed straight to the beach.

... and enjoy the views a bit more. Midway we paused for a snack and short rest before we continued around the side of Sella, finally arriving at an approach to the midlevel of the town. A few hearty walkers decided to join Bill on the climb to the top while most of the rest of us sensibly adjourned to a local bar for a cool drink on the patio.
