Mit einer Stunde Versp�tung ist jedenfalls der Flug in M�nchen gestartet. Das war nervig, aber noch nicht so schlimm. ... 1h30 in the morning (more or less) we finally arrived at Saly and our Hotel.
Don't forget to keep some coins to give the driver... Euros are welcome (of course)!

We checked-in at the bellboy took us to our room. Also here, don't forget to give some coins... again, Euros are welcome.

It's time to unpack and get to sleep... tomorrow it will be a relaxing day!

This morning we woke up early and boarded a motor pirogue with our naturalist, Assan, and explored some of the small, mangrove-lined "bolongs" that feed the river. We must have spotted over 20 species of birds, from kingfishers to eagles. We also spotted green vervet monkeys and even a mongoose - a rare site that was even a first for Assan. ...
