... to ask the friendly lady when the first bus to Numata would come. She also didn't speak a word english but from her gestures i understood that the bus i just stepped out of was the one going to Numata. :-P So i had to wait for 40 minutes to catch the next one.

... pleasing, from the more expensive restaurants to the most humble of Ekiben (station snack). It's a joy just to see the plates and cups with food arranged on the table. I took my time to enjoy all the different little flavors and after finishing my dinner went back to my room to get my ipad to update my blog again. Did i mention there's no internet here whatsoever? Lights are off in about 30 minutes (8.30pm) so it's early to bed tonight. Love it! ...

... A large part of the onsen experience involves cleaning and our rooms facilities didn't compare to these. The onsen was empty, bar one man. He was from Dallas and therefore spoke English. I was strangely excited and was determined to converse with him. We had a good chat for twenty minutes, I was well aware other than Hannah, it was the first person I had spoken to in person for ten days.
