    ... over a series of forces in the road, that when driven over at the correct speed (50km/h) played us a song!
    The bus dropped us at the fifth station at 6:30pm, just in time to watch the sun set and get some fantastic pictures. Then we went and people bought the hiking sticks and we went for dinner. Unfortunately, we did not know that the restaurant only had a full menus until 7:30, and by the time we had gotten there there was only one dish that we could order, ...

    ... the clouds so obscured it you wouldn't know it was even there, although its presence loomed heavily. On the way up and in the mornings the peak was clear and beautiful. Our pictures did not do the scene justice but any of you reading can google some better pictures and then imagine what we could see :)

    ... look untidy. Also guys with weed eaters, hedge clippers etc ( a guy has to have his tools). Apparently they do it once a month. The only locals who weren't in on the act were the ones that had decided to go fishing. Maybe we could do this in Auckland although I'm not sure the turnout would be as large. You really had to see it to believe just how many people were out doing "the clean up".

    ... cold Kirin beer i just got from the local kombini. Funny thing is that if you speak like only 2 words Japanese, some locals start talking to you like you know the entire language. Only to be slightly shocked and weary when you actually don't. :-) Went back to the hostel and chatted a bit with Beate, Bob from England and some other guys from Australia, France and Japan before going to bed at 11pm. Luckily my jetlag isn't as bad as i expected so i fell asleep right ...
