... upsetting that the tour company continued with a tour to see a mountain that they knew would not be visible without notifying passengers first. It was very upsetting when we were not able to get the bullet train tickets that we had already paid for and then had to pay out of pocket to get back home.

On the plus side, we got to ride multiple parts of the extensive Tokyo transportation system and saw beautiful Japanese houses and gardens in the countryside.

... some more we find out they also serve what he describes as a "smorgasbord" with free wine from the Winery. Smorgasbord it will be.... it's a fairly large buffet with Japanese and Western style food, replenished when needed and quite tasty. A busload of Chinese tourists also has dinner here, a busy evening for the restaurant for sure. A red and a white wine from the Naka-Izu Winery are free, you do have to play for a beer though. You take a ticket from a self survive machine (surprise surprise) at the middle of the bus (where you enter the bus) and then put it in a machine at the front which works out your fare.
