... 2-3 hrs there to use there beautiful ladies only rest area (no additional charge). The restaurant looks nice too, not sure about the taste. The spa area, ladies only, looks very professional, however the price seems to be higher than the Canadians' hotel spa. I do recommend this onzen. BTW, no pictures were taken, except at the entrance of the building.

... friends who been great company on the way down and headed to the bus. When I took off my socks and shoes to look at my aching feet I was in for a shock. My two big toe-nails had turned black in the process!

But at least I had done it, I had climbed the highest mountain in Japan with only a couple of bumps and bruises in the process, and also had a sense that the hardest part of journey in this country was also over. It was just downhill from here.

This lasted for approx. 10 minutes and everyone in the bus breathed a sigh of relief once the fog cleared and we had not been attacked by the killer monkeys (or rather, we had not gone careening off the edge of the mountain)!
