    ... we hopped onto a bus that took us to the starting point of our boat ride along the network of canals that flow through the city. It was a beautiful sunny day - perfect!     ... Michiko picked us up at our hotel and drove us to the workshop of Nuno Ehon Suginoko, the craft group who created the cloth Naomi's Tree book. We were treated like royalty- the ladies were all waiting for us along with a politician and his wife from their prefecture.
