Sand in my shoes and other places

A travel blog entry by worthj1970

... I imagined the lives the people led that allowed them to spend a weekday afternoon in the ocean. Maybe they were teachers on summer break, or fishermen and their families, whose workday starts and ends before many people wake up.

After the beach we drove to the Tottori Sakyu, the sand dunes. It's hard to describe how cool the dunes are. I went there once before about ten years ago. The best thing to do is to watch the sunrise and sunset from the dunes. But I ...

As this ryokan was obviously a lot bigger than the one we visited before there was not the attention to detail in the service we received in Kurashiki. Thats not to say it was not good, which ...

Good Bye to Japan

A travel blog entry by 1061kun

Sorry for not putting up any new entry but I have been busy packing up all my things to ship back to Oregon. It is interesting to realize how much stuff I have collected over the last six and half years. Lots of CDs, books, videos, clothing and lots of paper and pictures. I also realize that the 3 plus years in Tottori is the longest period of time I have spent in the same place (apartment, house, or room) since ...
