Sand in my shoes and other places

A travel blog entry by worthj1970

... sand dune when it's almost a hundred degrees and the sand feels twice as hot. Back at the steps to the parking lot we dumped out a couple of pounds of sand each from our shoes and socks, and Joe tried his best to get sand out of his shirt, etc. One lesson I learned from the sand dune is that I never, ever want to be stranded in the desert. Though it must be mentioned that it is beautfiully presented, as you will see from the photos that we took. Overall, we give this ryokan a thumbs up, mostly because of its wonderful onsen. Next stop - ...

Good Bye to Japan

It is interesting to realize how much stuff I have collected over the last six and half years. Lots of CDs, books, videos, clothing and lots of paper and pictures. I also realize that the 3 plus years in Tottori is the longest period of time I have spent in the same place (apartment, house, or room) since ...
