... which is a well-journeyed train as you can see from the picture below. I wouldn't say that it is a particularly comfortable train, but its retro-flavor will make you feel like you have slipped back into the good old days.
So, what is it exactly that makes Tajima beef so good?
According to Mr. Okamoto, one of the workers at the ranch, its superb and distinctive regional bloodlines passed down for many years are the primary reason for the excellence of Tajima beef ...
... this computer. So far we did a bus tour of the main attractions in the city. Now we are looking for a place for fCub to have some Kobe beef. Tomorrow we will probably go to one of the famous shopping areas in Kobe. More to follow tomorrow. Sayonnara, Cubnelaine
Kobe, Kinki, Japan cubnelaine... the earthquake's effect on the harbour as well as the harbour's reconstruction. The Great Hanshin Earthquake was the second most devastating earthquake in Japan and killed more that 40,000 people.
After taking a bit to ponder the magnitude of the Great Hanshin Earthquake, we decided to check out a market that had been set up around a cultural event with dancing a music that was going on nearby. We grabbed something ...

Kobe, Hyogo, Japan at777... I realized that I had a ridiculous farmer's tan (one that could put my father to shame) from my day in the heat. It was about that time that I also remembered that regardless of the fact that I had drank 5 16oz bottles of water and sports drinks, I had yet to tinkle the entire day. No wonder I had a migraine and my head was spinning. Bed time for Brianne, and no enkai (party with the teachers) because I was off to Malaysia the very next day!
Seishin Minami, Japan brianneinjapan... to be bigger until it burned down and was rebuilt at 66% of it's original size. (Guess they didn't want to cut down a whole forest that time) The Great Budda's place may be huge, but it doesn't look all that roomy with him stuffed into it. He's the largest cast bronze statue in existence, and he's pretty impressive. Around his back, we found a line of excited schoolchildren standing behind a pillar with a hole in it. The hole is exactly the same diameter as one of ...
Osaka, Japan tabonyhl... me to come to Den Den Town: I didn't buy anything there, but I can now die happy, safe in the knowledge that I have seen a celing made of controllers. I turns out, Japan's obsession with Gundam (a series of robot cartoons that started in the late 70s, and has since launched movies, books, toys ...
Osaka, Japan scurvydom... The temple was a Zen temple and dated back to 1482. The garden within the temple grounds was the show piece. Waterfalls, cherry blossom and an elaborate gravel path, swept in to the shape of Mount Fuji accompanied by beaches and waves. Although still at temple overload I was able to appreciate it as one of the better temples I had seen. It was recommended that we take a path down by the canal know as the path of ...
Osaka, Japan ashermj... various little pagoda looking things. We didn't have a guide so we just enjoyed. We stopped and bought the hugest apples that I have ever seen in my life. We stopped in some shops along the way. Everything is so expensive in Japan so no one really bought much. Finally it felt like we got to the top of the city, if there is a top and there was a big park area with paths and pagodas so we leisurely walked through and enjoyed that. We ran into the SAS trip ...
Osaka, Japan laurenalyce... says no problem, but, after a problem, suddenly HP doesn't pickup or ship internationally.
