While in town for work, I decided to opt for an Airbnb in central Amsterdam rather than a chain hotel on the outskirts by the airport -- and office.

I have so enjoyed commuting to work like a local. Though, given the office's location near the airport I am mostly commuting with other tourists heading to the airport. But still, I enjoy it.

... Pijp (a very cool area with heaps of bars and restaurants) up and down the city, across umpteen canals and bridges, and nothing ever seemed the same twice. The bridges with pretty flower boxes, lined with parked bikes, overlooking the canals lined with trees at road level and houseboats at water level, really are picture postcard perfect. A few interesting facts .. There are 165 odd canals in Amsterdam spanning over 100km, with over 1200 bridges (3 times more than ...

... are smoke shops and tons of pizza. You will literally just see people walking down the street eating pizza, laughing, talking in all different languages. And if you love drinking, they have tons of bars and cafes where people just sit outside and get ********d. It's such a cool place. I'll be stopping by on my way home from ...
