... we got back to the canal the winter festival was in full swing but it wasn't quite dark enough for the full impact so we went for dinner.
For dinner we had ramen as we wanted something warm because it had snowed pretty consistently all day. Afterwards we went for another stroll along the canal. The candles looked much better now.
Soon enough it was time to leave to catch the train so we wouldn't miss the last bus from Kutchan ...
