    Werner and I rode from Beaune to Liesberg in 3 hours. It was a short but good ride.

    ... and then back down to the Schluchsee, where we set up camp. The Schluchsee is the largest lake in the area, although its man-made. 80 years ago they built a dam at the end to enlarge the lake for energy. At 930m elevation, its quite high and 7kms long.

    ... was a 200km ride back to Basel to rejoin Christian and Françoise on their Ducati for a meeting on a rainy Sunday morning with the Swiss Ulysses Club. Don't ask me where we went...all I know is that we remained in the Swiss territory, climbing and descending so many narrow roads, dodging cars, coaches, cyclists, cows...you name it. We finally stopped for lunch somewhere in the canton of Jura.
