    I need to mark Basel on the map & would also like to say to anyone reading this that might be planning a trip to the area, we stayed at The Passage hotel - it was EXCELLENT ! and I would highly recommend it; awesome shower, big rooms, comfy bed, mini fridge (if you can afford that sort of thing), a fantastic gym downstairs, and just a hop, skip, and jump away from anything and everything you could possibly want. ...

    Goodbye to our Blackforest accommodation, the Silberdistel. We drove from Hinterzarten to Hirschsprung to Freiburg. We parked in the suburbs of Freiburg and took the tram into the Alt Stadt.     ... river, waterfalls and forest were beautiful. At the bottom of the gorge we arrived at Hofgut Sternen which is a tourist town. It has a working cuckoo clock the size of a house. We got back to Hinterzarten about 2.30pm so we had coffee and icecream. Then we bought some Schwarzwald wine for tonight and walked up to the ski jump. There are 4 different sized ski jumps.     ... so it was a real bludge. We were settled into our city central motel, run by the same lady (complete with little dog) who was running the show when Greg & Graham stayed there in 2012.
