... Vienna opera house, street musicians performing in the streets. Vienna is a shoppers dream, which I would compare with London, Paris or New York. There is a street (actually 3 or 4 blocks) which is referred to as the "unaffordable street". We saw many well known stores: Mont Blanc, Louis Vuitton, Ferrari, Maserati, Tiffany, etc. We spent 3.5 days in Vienna, visiting the ...

... first to enter the bunkers as evidenced by the insignia on the wall (sorry Band of Brothers). It was a fascinating walk through history.

The last stop of the day was to drive the narrowest road in all of Austria up to Eagle's Nest on one of the special buses that journeys up to the top of the mountain. Over 3,000 men worked day and night, winter and summer, for 13 months to complete the road project. The road was blasted out of the mountainside, and featured a series ...

... most important stops along the way but didn't stop at all of them. We skipped museums and exhibits in favor of great views as the weather was perfect! There were lots of places to pull off the road just to enjoy the views. There were at least 25 hairpin turns and lots of bicycles, motorcylces, classic cars, convertibles, and plain fast cars.

One of the highlights was the highest point on the road at Edelweiss Peak. To get there we had ...
