... nestled between the mountains with snow all around and a ski run just out of town, you could not ask for a more picture perfect place. The photo's don't do it justice. We went for a drive to the top of town to take some pictures & it was just amazing. We thought we would try and find the Ice Rink to see if they had a gift shop for some bits for the kids and they were hosting the Italian National Short Track Speed Skating Championships! One of only 3 events held ...

Hi this is my first ever blog entry so apologies for any rookie mistakes! I'm going to write about my recent stay in Livigno ski resort, in the Italian Alps. I stayed there from the 22nd March to the 29th (2015)

... mountains up ahead. I stopped somewhere on the way up to the summit, below the clouds and it was a brilliant view. As I continued I headed into the clouds and it started to get really cold and wet. My fingers were cold, and I used a trick I learned in Norway. Whenever you can, put your hands on the engine block and get some warmth into the fingers, especially the clutch fingers.
      I didn't stop at ...

... a cozy traditional village, where people paint murals of saints on their exterior walls and where the natural landscape is suddenly transformed into cozy little twisted alleys. And a castle! Yep, another castle. This one is quite a beauty, with a tall tower rising above the main walls. Turns out, this castle is used as a university campus, so I can go inside and at least check out the courtyard. From hear I cross an open ...
