It was more than uncomfortable and we wanted to leave but we weren't sure if he had other people with him and he was blocking two of our exit routes so we chilled for a bit and let a close eye. ... treacherous climb! Luckily on our way we had fuelled ourselves with some pan de bono, a cheesey yucca bread that is quite doughy and addictive and a specialty of Colombia! The climb took a bit over an hour and had OK views over the town from the top but maybe not worth the effort! To tire ourselves out some more we had a go at the outdoor gym up there before heading back down. Being the adventurer he is, Ash saw an 'alternative' route down which he confidently claimed ...

... and a hostel with a crumbling ceiling. We had a lovely few days relaxing on the beach, and enjoyed an unexpected Christian music concert. We then made our way to Barranquilla, where the crazy Silvia took us under her wing during the bus journey and took us to a posh hotel. Barranquilla, the home of Shakira, is a bustling hot city complete with the biggest street market we've ever seen. This is also where we discovered that the cheaper drinking water out ...
