We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Bosa. Our accommodation in the old section was just what we wanted. We walked an alleyway from where we were staying to have dinner. Walking along the cobblestones, it was interesting to see the way the different houses are distinguished. Many have pots of plants in their windows or on their small balconies. ... siesta and set us up to drive off in a beastly Fiat Panda.
Our apartment is in Orosei, a small old town on the eastern coast. We will be staying here for a week to recharge the batteries, learn a little Italian and just enjoy Sardinia. If yesterdays gnochetti and pizza dinner is any indication of the quality of food here, this weeks' eats will be LE GEN DA RY!
On the Sunday morning we stayed around the beach and campsite.
We had a good swim there, then headed off northwards along the coast road passing the environs of Baunei which we were now familiar with.
We had a grand picnic on the scenic mountain road at the midpoint of two tunnels.
Then, on our way we went, returning to Cala Gonone to repeat our sleep in the car there, in exactly the same location.

There was a small inland pool of warm water which was fun for the children to play in.
The sun set and we moved on to another beach, Marina di Bari, where we set up camp in a pricey, something star beachfront site.
We dined in the restaurant there, me on aubergine parmigiano which was delicious, accompanied by the local beer.
That was our nuraghi day done with, and I didn't know if Eleanor could bear me to drag her around anymore, but we'll see.
