... water's surface. There was another ferry also going to Crete 5 minutes before ours so we were able to see the plumes of spray rising up from the engines of the other boat and knew we were flying. Yet, the smoothness and quietness of the engines made it seem like we were just pulling out of port at minimum speed. It was an amazing way to spend the two hour commute to Crete. ... does not add anything to the dish. The Cote de Rhone purchased yesterday we had with dinner (corkage $20 US). Very good, even our Sommelier agrees. Cunard's open policy on bringing alcohol aboard (in sensible quantities) is greatly appreciated. At our afternoon cocktails on the balcony we have enjoyed some lovely wines. Sadly the Prosecco is finished until we reach Italy again. Early night as we have a busy agenda in Athens ...

... Rome to the Greek Islands of Crete, Mykonos, Santorini, then Athens and Olympia, as well as Kusadasi, Turkey where the famous ruins of Ephesus are located. Turkey is as far east as we would travel, and the farthest east Blake, Rob, and I have ever traveled. Turkey is also considered a part of the Asian continent so we can officially say we've been to 3 continents: North America, Europe, and Asia. Only 4 more to go!! ;)

... we ate, talked and drank some wonderful wines.

The show tonight was a comedian – Steve, Paula, Christopher and I went – and actually laughed. He was quite funny. Spared no one in the front row nor anyone who dared enter late. We all got a good laugh at their expense. Maybe they learned a lesson – never show up late when a comedian is on a roll!!
