    We got up at a leisurely pace again this morning and set off back towards Chania driving west along the northern coast. We stopped at Rethymno which has an old Venetian section and port a lot like Chania. We at lunch facing the old harbor, but were all a little disappointed at the meal.     ... of two remaining minarets in Chania. They date back to when the Ottomon Empire took control from the Venetians in the 1600's. The Turks used the for a place to call Muslims to pray. This one is the Minaret of Achmet Aga. I finished the afternoon by climbing to the top of the Siavo Bastion where you could almost get a full 360 degree view of the city.
