... and suddenly the ruined palace was quiet and we were the only people there that is until we went outside and up the pathway towards the other side of the palace where again we met the group of kids and all those that had missed their candid camera moment before made up for it again.. even the teachers wanted photos of us with them.. it was mayhem but brilliant at the same time..

The palace is an amazing place, really eery and each level has a different feel, it was ...
Bundi, Rājasthān, India raeandadam... A&R, run by a very kind Jain family. We had a coffee, and ordered a thali for later on. We watched the sunset, and thousands of bats streaming out of the dilapidated palace and fort overlooking the town.

When we went back in the evening the food was some time in coming, but when it came it was amazing. The food was all vegetarian, and it was amazing the amount of flavour in everything. The owner's name is Arvind, and his brother in law is the very ...
Bundi, Rajasthan, India lisa_and_paulThe trip to Bundi was an interesting one, we as usual took a state owned bus, we had to take two as we had just missed the straight bus. The scrum onto the bus was the most violent I have seen in my life with a man with no legs getting trampled on by his fellow passengers so that they could insure they would get a seat, we managed to get seats but were quickly informed that I was sitting in the conductors seat ...
Bundi, Rajasthan, India benandmela... beating drums and chanting his name, there are were even small fireworks display. We think “Wow this guy must be popular”. Our host tells us later that most of the politicians hire local kids to help make a crowd and look popular. All the “hired crowd” gets at the end of a full day is a dinner, things can be tough and India politics can be pretty complex.

Bundi, Rajasthan, India eddieandlynn... otherwise I wouldn't get to see or do anything. A visit to the Palace and the Fort are obvious musts so after a short incline I reach the Palace. The Palace was interesting but with lacking knowledge of these places it's hard to imagine what life was like when the Palace was occupied however it was still impressive nevertheless. The steeper incline to the Fort was very interesting. The brazen monkeys have already claimed the fort as there own as hundreds of them roam ...
Bundi, Rajasthan, India shiftingfocus... back on the tourist trail with its vigilant demands. Apart from the filthy city of Agra, the Taj Mahal lived upto expectations and was stunning in design, intricacy and symmetry. We went along at sunrise with the throngs of tourists anxious to take that perfect photograph (digital photography has made this an endless task!). After trying to take a picture of the shy(!) Fiona as Lady Diana in front we left.

Our hotel was pretty grotty. It's never a good ...
Bundi, Rajasthan, India ordinaryjoe...
Oppure ...
Bundi, India lenka-massimo... like me and tattoos. I left, since I was not to interested to go meet the Indian version of Al Capone. I was very surprised by his offer he didn't seem like a ganster at all. Maybe he just wanted to bring the white man along to look cool. I don't really know but it was weird. Now we are leaving to Udaipur where I am planning to learn how to cook some Indian food. Well it is probably not of much interest for you since I never cook for anybody but myself!
Bundi, India vachon_88... one huge male charged across the buildings with a shoe in his mouth, then fling it down when he was bored Early the next morning we set off into the palace and fort, trying to avoid the Rajisthani heat which was starting to rise. The palace is stunning, partly owned by the local maharaja and partly by the government. The building was deserted for 60 years after independence and is ...
