Belle-Isle or Belle Ile. This is my destination for the day. I grab breakfast downstairs which includes cereal with orange juice, my fav. Then I'm off. With only my camera and scarf. Takes about an hour to make it to Quiberon. I find parking next to the casino and then walk to the ferry terminal. A few other people are also buying tickets. I attempt to purchase mine. The ticket lady only speaks French and is not in a good mood when I step up. Luckily I look behind me for some aid ...

... about, taking photos before sunset. It's really beautiful here. Walked a bit more, trying to find Mama Mia restaurant, which I figured was Italian. A las, it was closed. Maybe for renovation. Walked up some other street and popped into a local grocery. Amazing experience. Was looking for anything to buy, anything. ... about 8 miles away). We caught the bus for the bargain price of 3 euro each return and had a great day wandering through all the old streets and around the harbour area checking out all the yatchs and dodging the downpours.

Spent the evening catching up with all the family on facetime which was so lovely then an early night as we are on the road again tomorrow......

The Germans had occupied all the countries on the Atlantic, English Channel and North Sea of Europe and constructed defences in strategic sites along that long coast line.
