... the cockpit watching the sun go down. Pleased to say David's dad is home again after another blood transfusion they have a consultants meeting on Wednesday when we will know what ourplans are going to be. Spoke to my mum as well which was lovely to hear her and catch up on her news, mum is always so busy which is great to hear and Sophie was popping around for a cuppa with her. Still trying to get hold of Rachel she is so busy with work but had a lovely chat with her hubby ...

... around F5-6 straight on the nose. After a short passage we anchored and stuck the weather out. We've been fortunate all along so one or two days of bad weather is not worth complaining about.

The following day we went up the river d'Auray picked up a mooring and then proceeded by dinghy to Auray. Such a lovely little town. Being a Sunday there was nothing open except restaurants but that didn't matter.

... of days later... I seem to have broken ribs on one side! However, broken ribs are infinitely preferable to a broken wrist, for a musician. ... the plat du jour formule, a mixed grill with mash followed by a fraise gazpacho with menthe chantilly (minty flavoured cream on a strawberry purée). Jonathan had Penne Arabica, with spicy sauce and chorizo, and chocolate mousse. All delicious and washed down with half a carafe of Merlot. ... beside the two towers foR more photos, suddenly realised we'd been there 2 hours and they'd be closing for lunch, so had to walk very quickly back through the forest to the great gate. Which was shut, and the keeper or whatever he was was disappearing into the gatehouse, but he'd left the gate on the latch and we were able to get out and continue on our way to Vannes. The photos don't do it justice, impossible to capture the size and awesomeness - is that a word?
