The old hotel, but with nice updated features. It was in good location in the heart of town. Parking on the street, but not an issue to find a spot.

Today was all about Mansfield. After a nice breakfast we drove into town. First stop was the cemetery where Laura, Almanzo and Rose were buried. My heart was touched to think they were really there. Lastly, just outside of Cantril, you'll find a lovely 100-yr-old round barn...and me, without my camera. I was excited to get close, as my mom had previously stated she didn't know how to get to it. Then yesterday she nonchalantly informed me that my achievement was nil, she's been inside it. She still maintains that she doesn't know how to get to it.
I got very comfortable in Minnesota over the past few weeks. A little too comfortable, perhaps, but that happens with friends like mine. Yet I was losing momentum on my travels and struggling to take the next step. Strange, but it's as though the approaching inevitability of the trip terminus took over my mind, bringing me down. It's entirely possible that I can’t do this forever.
