I celebrated at Mom's with a good book, Lifetime movies (murder & mayhem, not sappy), and pistachio cake. She even let me have the gooey center pieces - quite possibly because she saw what happened when The Nightmare Nanny didn't get her way.

A trip to the Quincy, IL Walmart took us past the most elaborate Salvation Army building we'd ever seen. The building was named in honor of benefactors Ray & Joan Kroc.
