... towards Sans. Turned out the station connecting us was huge. 20 mins to go and we were still figuring out the correct line that would get us to Sans. Eventually after running around various floors of the station we found the right one. 10 mins to go with 3 more stops. One at Sans we ran to our platform to realise we were 2 mins too ...

... was covered in Xmas trees and kids had a letterbox on each side. The second float was decorated with all shapes, sizes and colours of Xmas presents (fake ones) with two kids on each side who were throwing out bunches of sweets......hundreds of sweets! The boot of the car towing it was stuffed full to the brim with massive plastic sacks of hard boiled sweets, which were being rushed back and forth to replenish those being thrown on the street. ... now have some fish restaurants – and some even open! Good lunch and nice wine. We then walked up to Platja del Canadell, the longest of Calella de Palafrugell`s beaches at about 200m. Being winter though (early December) the town was almost completely closed, or being refurbished, to be available for the next big holiday rush at Christmas.

And so to home and the cathedral christmas markets but that is elsewhere.

We worked our way to the coast and came to the lovely seaside village of Llafranca, pretty well closed up for the season...the sun was shining and there were lots of hiking paths, so we struck out along the coastal route, walking from Platja de Llafranca to Platja del Canadell and back, the sparkling Mediterranean Sea on one side and stone ...

... milk, fruit, jams and jellies. It hasn't varied, even though we've been here 4 nights (sort of like the 'standard breakfasts' in Peru!), but we certainly get filled up, and don't need to eat again until late lunch.
