Bartering is fun! It's like a game. I stopped at Wal-Mart back in the states today and instantly thought I would ask them to sell me a flat iron for half their asking price!

It's difficult to get an Indian to commit to a time...or anything! Because they don't want you to be disappointed if it doesn't happen.

... In the evening, we had a Puja ceremony and everyone gets a bindi and red string on their wrist. Was really quite beautiful with all the chanting. There are 40ppl from all over the world in my group…Australia, Vietnam, Finland… Lots of people who quit there jobs and sold everything, a couple who are here for some spiritual enlightenment, some who are “trying to find themselves” and some who just LOVE ...

... achter ons aan bleven lopen. Toen we stil gingen staan en ons omdraaiden wisten ze niet waar ze moesten kijken. De volgende keer gaan we rondjes lopen, kijken wat er dan gebeurt :-p
's Avonds verzamelden honderden mensen zich op de trappen aan de Ganges om de dagelijkse vuurceremonie bij te wonen. Na bezwerend gezang en enkele rituelen laten mensen een bakje van bananenblad, gevuld met bloemen, wierook en een kaarsje te water. Helaas slaat 99% van de bakjes ...

... one sadhu practicing some yoga asanas,massaging the area around the stomach, and he indicated that he had some problem,but afterwards he took a bath in the cold water. I hope he felt better.
Some of these holy men are real spiritual seekers, while others choose this way of life to smoke drugs and eat without working. The different ashrams give them food and shelter .
At least, they travel without baggage, something I would like to be able to ...
