One time crossing the road had to stop to let a bike go by against the red ...

... form of a secret (when it was built) chapel on the third floor of three adjoining houses. Secret, due to the suppression of the Catholic religion in 1663 when this was built... See pic. An audio commentary was very informative and welcome. Just a chance finding of an interesting place Then to Oude Kerk just around the corner. This is Amsterdam's oldest building being established in 1306. Inside it is a museum now but contains the buried remains of 10,000 former ...

... a speech about how her spirit should inspire our greatness and basically to use her memory and story to do better things in life. The other was John Green reading a passage from 'A fault in Our Stars' about there being 4 Aaron Franks and nobody had heard of them. How so many nameless people were killed with almost no recognition. I bought a copy of the diary to read (can't believe I never have) and we wandered home a little overwhelmed and just went to bed. (This ...
