... Friday looking for a cash machine, finding them finally all in the same location. If I had turned right instead of left when I started out it would have been fine. Good for the exchequer though as I couldn't be bothered going shopping after that. I did see the outside of a lovely cathedral, with the sun shining through the stain glass windows. They were really nice girls and one of them in particular, an art student, and I hit it ...

Well, we slept until 10! So fell the plans for an early exploration of the city. Instead we were directed to another local spot for lunch. 20 minute walk along a canal (lol) to the cafe de Jarens for their famous tomato soup with creme fraiche and a carpaccio sandwich and white wine. The walk was full of awesome buildings and bridges and and and..... We are now on the train headed ...

    Hi Friends and Family
What a wonderful two weeks we have spent in Bali and Lombok. Both Julie and I agree that it was just the right mix of adventure/activity and rest and recreation; so much so that we both felt that we have been away for a month instead of two weeks. That we were able to have that down time at the end to reflect upon and absorb all the cultural highlights and we don't take it for granted that we were able to do ...
