... the minority and usually students. It didn't help that we couldn't speak or even decipher the cyrillic characters of their language.

We enjoyed our evening out in the "city." Although it was only one day, we discovered a charm to Slovakia with its sleepy villages and deserted highways. We bypass the busy town of Banska Bystrica on a fast road and are soon climbing high into the ...

Today we left Zakopane and travelled to Budapest. On the way we stopped in Slovakia and did a tank ride. The back of the tank was all open and only had handrails to stand and hold onto. The eccentric driver of the tank, dressed all in army surplus gear, seemed to enjoy scaring us all us much as possible, turning around and smiling while he drove us down huge slopes and through rivers. I think we screamed the entire way but ...
