O Mossimo, Mossimo, wherefore art thou Mossimo?
Denied thy Billy (and stuck his friends with the chauffer)
Or, if thou wilt not be, Eraldo!
Oh, no longer, it will be Ermond :-)
You really should have been there this morning to understand the context of the above poem from Shakesbilly - either way - who cares, we are in …
Another great day in Rome but let me start with our dinner last night. After a long day we decided not to travel far from the hotel so we ate at a little outdoor restaurant within walking distance. The food was average so I was a little disappointed. I've heard so many good things about the food in Italy but not ALL restaurants are outstanding. …
Ciao! Well we both arrived in Rome safe and sound. I got to Rome at 1:30pm. To get my bag I had to take a shuttle to the baggage claim. Then I asked at the information desk how to catch the Trenatalia-Leonardo Express. I was told to go to the second floor. Of course it is always fund navigating and I followed the picture of the train through …
Cugnaux31 stayed here on Nov 10, 2009 during their trip titled: Cugnaux31's Great Adventure.
Do you know what I hate? I HATE hot weather. And so naturally, I'm touring Europe in summer.
Rome is just ridiculously hot at the moment. We went outside this morning a bit after 8am, and it was already getting uncomfortable. Thanks to a stop at a pharmacy yesterday I have sunscreen again (left the last one in Hammersmith *facepalm*) so I …

Historical Traveler Reviews Napoleon Hotel Rome
We stayed in the Napoleon for a few nights because we got a good rate therough the internet and loved it. The room was spacious and clean, and the staff was extremely helpful. Location close to Termini.
The best place that I stayed in Italy. The rooms are large and clean, the breakfast was above par, and the staff was friendly. Good location.
I would stay there again.
Our family stayed for six nights in early November 2003. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the Coloseum, Forum, and other antiquities. Given the size of Rome, it's impossible to be close to everything. The entrance to the metro is right outside the hotel door and trams and busses stop within a few blocks.
Wow. This hotel was a great value. I found an unbelievable rate on Expedia.com for this hotel, and I was very pleased with the accomodations. I have stayed in Rome on business and personal trips many times in hotels ranging from convents to the Westin Excelsior and for the value conscious travelor who likes high quality, this is a terrifc place to stay. The rooms were spacious as compared to other Rome hotels, the rooms were very clean, the bathroom had a nice sized bathtub. the staff was terrific and spoke good english, the breakfast buffet had lots of items to choose from, the metro stop is immediately in front of the hotel and they even have CNN. The only negative about the hotel is the view...there is none! I had a view of the fire escape, so I just kept my curtains closed when I was in my room (which wasn't too often). I will definately stay here again when I am on personal travel in Rome, you can't beat this deal!
We stayed in the Napoleon on our honeymoon in early September. The weather at the time was perfect and so were our few days in Rome.
A girl friend and I just returned from an 8 day trip to Rome and have nothing but wonderful things to say about the Napoleon! Since this was my first trip to Europe and my friend's ninth, we had different expectations concerning our accomodations. Both of us were more than pleased with the Napoleon and its staff. Upon arriving at the hotel, we were accosted by men trying to get us to stay at a different hotels because as they said, the Napoleon was in the 'bad' part of town. That could not be farther from the truth! We arrived to find a beautiful facade and an elegant interior across from a piazza. We were checked in efficiently and made to feel quite at home. Franco, the best concierge in Rome, went out of his way to guide us during our week there. He recommended excellent restaurants and always told us the easiest path to our destination. The Metro stop is indeed right outside the front door and makes navigating the city quite easy. As two single woman in Rome, we both felt safe walking around the hotel at night. There are indeed many sights that are within walking distance from the hotel. The breakfast room and the food itself was delicious, pleasantly displayed, and the staff was friendly and efficient. The room was more than adequate in size, always very clean, and comfortable. The air-conditioning worked exceptionally well as it was unseasonably hot during our stay. As one reviewer said, the staff at the Napoleon is very helpful and friendly. I can't imagine staying at a more accomodating hotel! I am looking forward to taking my family to Rome and once again staying at the Napoleon!
