... hard sand. Apart from that there are two restaurants and a row of interesting houses across the road; one looks like a mosque complete with blue dome, another has an all glass front, the next looks like it belongs in the French countryside. Like Comodoro, the town is nestled in these big dirt hills. Maybe this is to keep out the wind because it really blows here. Really really blows.
Not finding an open restaurant we bus back to Comodoro, where we couldn't ...

Not had a whiff of instant since back in Argentina and even
had a filter coffee machine in the apartment, a real treat to wake up to.

Happily it didn’t have the hideous over-powering aroma of

    at regular intervals, even ...

... The looong journey actually went very quickly. Mar Del Plata is a coastal city located south of Buenos Aires. The coastline reminded us of Portugal, you've got to love the ruggedness of the Atlantic. Although not the ideal time of year for the beach the real reason we came here was to meet up with a British Family who relocated to Argentina, who Shaun met when he travelled here 5 years ago. They helped him find his feet so he only felt ...

... had started enforcing my rule that if I don't know the Spanish word for something I want I can't buy it; I am hoping this will help me improve my vocabulary. I made soup and chickpeas (garbanzos) for lunch. I befriend an Argentinian who didn't speak any English. Google translate is a dream. He took me to a water tower with great view of the city. After we hung out at the hostel having a few beers before my bus. I got the hostel called me a taxi. The taxi was an unmarked one without ...

... when I said I was gonna walk was very shocked; he said my backpack was the weight of another person. Two km later (without even getting lost) I check in. I noticed two bruises on my arm from putting on my backpack, it may be a bit too heavy. Juan said this was the hostel he stayed at when in town; he mentioned it wasn't the best, but did the trick. I met a few of the people staying at the hostel and none of them spoke English. I went out ...
