A travel blog entry by nicolapollard on Aug 06, 2014

... could get the metro back to hostel before it closed. It was now after midnight and I still hadn't decided on my plans for the next day. I was supposed to be going to lake ohrid in Macedonia to meet up with Beth, Chelsea and Tara but the transport in that part of Europe is pretty **** so it was looking really ************g and not even that cheap. From Ohrid I would've needed to get to Split by the 8th so was looking like ...

Paradise beach round 2

... to sing along. Even though the bar was outside it was still so hot so around 3:30 we decided it was a good idea to go for a swim. Very refreshing but problem was we were now soaked with not a lot of chance of drying off we took this as a sign it was time to go the gyros shop for an end of the night snack. First time I've done that in a very long time! When we got back to our rooms it felt like time to start the day but once we hit the pillow we were gone! Good night ...

... seats and sunbathing area up the top. The captain was a crazy Egyptian man who got really offended when we wouldn't drink his raki at 9am! We shared the boat with about 10 other people so we had a good group. We cruised with a few other boats stopping every so often for a swim stop. The water was crystal clear and so refreshing! We were able to jump off the boat so we got lots of good jumping shots. All day ...

Exploring Paros and Antiparos

... small ferry to take us over the bit of sea to Antiparos. The ferry cost 8 Euro for the car and the two of us and we stood on the top deck marveling at the clear blue water all along our ten minute ferry ride. Seriously,, no matter how deep the water got as we crossed, we could still see to the bottom. No trash, no pollution, no silt stirred up by the waves or the motion of the ferry, only fish and rock and sea grass could be seen. Crystal clear. Antiparos is a ...
