      ... secret’ beaches rarely seen by tourists, and even took me roller skating. Like 4 wheels roller skating. That did not go over well, at all. He was by far one of the most genuine people I have ever met. Other than his puppy ploy, he spoke honestly, he cared deeply, and was selfless. I will see Estiben again, sooner than later.

      ... I was lucky to meet a German couple going my direction, one of whom had native level Spanish. She did the negotiation and we shared a taxi to the ferry port. Once getting away from the boarder, and through the brightly coloured town of Rivas, I was already thinking that I liked Nicaragua much more than the over touristed 'United States of Panama and Nicaragua'.

      ... swim before Katie and I woke up. After about 10 minutes someone official came around and told them they couldn't use it until 8am. Too noisy and too early for the other visitors I think! Can't blame them for trying though.

      We only stayed for 3 nights here as we wanted to finish the holiday in Manuel Antonio, another very popular beach town and nature reserve.
