Settled into a hotel for the night. Ten dollars more and I have my own room and bathroom. Heaven.
Quite hot and humid. Probably about 35 degrees. Makes walking hard and by the end of each day I feel quite exhausted. I see on the internet they are describing it as a heat wave in Japan and people are dying. However I wouldn't go that far.

... at these ancient statues. The many shrines and Jinja in for example Kyoto also awakens something in me. But I do not feel this at all at this moment. It feels too commercial. And I cannot shake the feeling no matter how hard I try! And I have tried! I have given it 32 chances. And at temple 32 I shall try no more.. I think it is great that there is an option to do the pilgrimage by bus tour. It gives for example elderly pilgrims a great ...

... quite used to covering quite a lot of ground on foot every day so I easily grow restless. I packed and back on route 55 I was. Above me circled many Hayabusa. Strong wings surfing strong winds. And together we steered the ship towards Cape Muroto-misaki. Volcano land. But that is a story for later on. I got sashimi in my fridge and a wine spritzer in the freezer. And then there's a pancake treat for little miss sweet tooth. It is after all Saturday night in Kochi ...
