... Lots of shops and quite reasonably priced. It seemed like the street went on forever and took a few hours to walk the length of it. They had a street parade which started at 12 pm, with Japanese dancers, firecrackers and pole jugglers. It seems even efficient Shinkansen bullet trains are no match for typhoon rain and winds.  As we neared Nagoya, at least the rain stopped.  I had to file a new flight plan first heading westward as our original more direct route south had us heading directly in to the storm.  Fortunately there was an onsite FSS and Paul was there to help with the process.  Funnily, as opposed to ...

It was a long but happy day. We drove back to Naha through the Expressway toll (It is alot faster but you have to pay 1000yen toll fee). Got to the Kokusai Doori street for food and bought a bottle of plum wine to try at the hotel. It tasted pretty good!!!
