    ... s made of the same dough as icecrem cones, only that they are as big as crÍpes. Inside you will find gouda cheese and whatever else you want - nutella, dulce de leche, chocolate sauce, etc. At first the combination of cheese and something sweet seems strange, but altogether it tastes delicious!

    So, our first introduction to the Caribbean wasn't such a great success, but there is so much yet to come!

    ... the ruin sights, Antonio shared again his knowledge of different trees/plants used for medicinal purposes. He said their Shaman (medicine doctor) had died a few years back but none of the sons wanted to carry on his tradition, so they are without a Shaman right now. As we approached the first ruin, the Mask Temple, people were running up to climb the steps and Antonio is telling them they may want to save their energy for the next one.     ... days Jesus died and was raised (as it is rather important!). We decided to research it properly and go back showing the differences between the leaflet and what we can see in the Bible. They're certainly thinking of some interesting questions to keep us on our toes.

    They have a strong desire to join us in preaching in the territory but realise that there is much to learn first so they can handle this assignment correctly. It's a real pleasure to find such people to study with ...

    ... back - no problem.

    The lagoon is a great place to swim - fresh water and lovely and warm water. It's right in the bush though - there's nothing else out there apart from sugar cane crops in the fields on the way through. The views are beautiful. On the way back we stopped off and Ariel cut a couple of canes of sugar and stripped the bark off. All the way back we were chewing on this woody-sweet stuff. ...
