... because most presentations back home have only the people presenting talking with maybe a question-answer panel at the end. Here, presenting is much more interactive, which I actually find to be not only easier on the presenters, but also helps to learn it more and create discussions. If only I could do that back at Minnesota...

So, we'll see how PBL goes, but so far, I think it's going pretty well and I like it. That might change come exam time though...

... Well we ran into a surprise parade (it was a surprise to us at least) where they had tons of marching bands and other floats and people all dressed in typically Carnaval costumes. Some of them were absolutely hilarious, others a little creepy, but it was great to see all of the people really enjoying themselves and getting into the spirit of Carnaval. ... can get your waffles with or without slagroom. The waitress didn't speak English hardly at all, but we finally figured out slagroom is whipped cream. The waffles were absolutely delicious, probably the best one I've ever had.
