Left for belgium this morning. Just entered the french speaking country and I read about some caves in liege, belgium that I will try to find. And then onto brussels.. an intereting thing in europe is all the public bathrooms cost money to use... here are some pictures of the roads. The sign that looks like a ghost busters sign means theres no speed ...

... evening. We ended up being stranded in a town in the middle of Nowhere, Germany and ended up staying the night in an odd little inn. We got up early the next morning to catch a 6:30am train and were back on our way. After a full 24 hours of traveling, we finally reached our hostel and were able to check in to our rooms at long last. It was a total fluke of a stop and although we never intended to, we added a pin in our map somewhere in northern Germany.

Meanwhile we sat and chatted with the Dutchies, Eric, Alex and Jehlla, downing drinks and reminiscing about the race. Then two older English gentleman arrived, one the owner of a very sweet Aston Martin, who knew the boys from previous years and invited us to their cabin to drink out of the cold. Well then the rounds of beers started, and Taledaga Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby was played on their tv. A very lively conversation, laughs ...

... the esky, coke water and of course beers for Andy, then it was back to the camp for the night.

After moving the washing to the dryer, Andy was told that there is a waiting list for the dryer, a note written in only Dutch, that you needed to put your name down at an allocated time. The next available was 9pm. What the?! He was not impressed, but wrote his name and came back to camp.

... this slide, but luckily the food was very good, even with gluten free marked on the menu. All happy!

The young waiter spoke very good English and was quite entertaining during our meals. Andy took the pork special, I opted for a chicken breast and salad. Our first meal in a few days not from a camp stove was very much appreciated and enjoyed.
