... more of the largest island in the Cyclades archipelago. We drove through the interior of the island while stopping at various archeological sites, farms and small towns. The air was much colder in the high elevations and we were glad that the traffic was minimal on the curvy narrow roads that barely allowed one car to pass through. In addition, there were other obstacles on the road to slow us down like goats and donkeys. The ...

... was to die for (jealous mum!!) The next day saw a history packed day with a visit to the wine museum where I had the opportunity to taste some of their modern wines which were delicious, and take loads of notes for Em! Next we headed to ancient thira which wasn't as thrilling as some of the other ancient things I've seen, even Em said so too. The most exciting part was the drive up the insanely narrow and windy road of the mountain, on the "wrong" side of ...

Goodbye Crete and the best food we have had on our holiday to date. Our wonderful maitre'd at the Galaxy hotel Hara was the most attentive and generous I have ever come across. Up early as we had been warned by a tour guide we met that the ferries fill quickly, we were at the port just after 7:45 for a 9:45 departure. A long wait, but we were at the front for loading, and once we got to business class we were ...
