Pujon, East Java, Indonesia cobanrondo... guide to Mount Bromo that the heart of the bat is supposed to be very good to heal breathing problems like asthma!!!! Go figure!!!<br><br>Hotel Helios is @ Patimumra 37 (phone 62341362741). This is where I decided to stay and was happy I did after talking to a couple that stayed at Splendid Inn and said that even if it looked clean at the beginning it was infested with ants and that she would not dare to go in the pool in its present state/condition.<br><br>
Malang, East Java, Indonesia bowtie... back to the Eco Lodge. So it was fine after all...<br><br>A bite to eat and still no sign of Julia we feasted upon the most wonderful fruitsalad ever and then retired to bed for an earlyish night before our jungle adventure!! I can't believe I did't go and see Kings of Leon at T in the Park as there was no way I was camping, yet here I am getting ready to head off into the jungle with people I hardly know in a country that can only be described as a miilions miles away from home in both senses!!<br><br>
Bukit Lawang, Sumatra, Indonesia followingmyfeet... Environmentalist bloke who started a long lecture about how David Bellamy (not Prince Charles) had visited the reserve in 1990 something ... but I escaped for a shower. We got large Bintangs in ok with the very adequate buffet dinner, then we were shunted off to watch a dvd about Orangy Tangy conservation in some other reserve nowhere near Seloliman and when we returned to the bar area it was all locked up so no more beer chaps, sadly, and then the ...
Seloliman, Java, Indonesia keithb6... easily without any photo. After arriving at the viewpoint a bit behind my intended schedule, I only had 10mins to catch my breath and grab some last snaps before my battery (camera) died before beginning the hour scramble back down to the town. I was absolutely spent by the time I arrived back late to my hotel. Two fried eggs on toast and a quick shower and we were off to the Ijen Plateau for a totally different volcano experience.
Gunung Bromo, Indonesia fergalokeeffe... up to 3676 m high. Mount Semeru, that's the name of the highest summit in Java. It's a bounch of giant sand, when you climb it, 3 step you moved, 2 step you moved back. In there, nothing can you hear bout the wind. What my trip for? to stand our red white flag in my highest lovely island

Bromo, Indonesia bafreux... that we had; it was the most genuine and there was a lot of it. However, we were a bit overcharged for it but it was worth it. The next morning, we woke up at 3:30 am and hiked up 9 km to see the sunrise from Penejakan. It was absolutely gorgeous. You could see all three summits (Bromo, Tenegger, Semeru) from there. Bromo was still smoking. We tried to hike down to see the actual crater of Bromo on the Sea of Sands but it was too far afterall and ...
Wonokitri, Indonesia bryannie... tourist price = local price multiplied by two. I managed to negociate 15 down to 10 with alot of work. Bemos are small overcrowded and slow. Drivers often drive at walking speed to allow for customers to arrive further up the road. Your only chance is when one catches up with another then it's a race to get to the waiting customers. The hotel has a great view over the active Bromo volcano which is only an hours walk up to the ...
