A night out was on the cards for tonight and we were originally going to go to a traditional Finnish restaurant but then decided that this might not suit the kids, so we went to Mexican instead. No complaints here except that I was reeeealy disappointed not to taste Reindeer!! Cough, cough.

... kicing the soccer ball and playing badminton, riding through the forest on the 4 wheel bike, BBQ’ing and basically relaxing in the amazing environment (I know, I know …. I am banging on about it but it really was that good!!!) Kirsi and Kari were wonderful hosts as well, preparing breakfast and cooking lunch which was all really yummy.

Finally sitting in the train to Russia. I just enjoyed the perfect morning coffee like every morning, only that this time I was drinking it from the bottle and watching the Finnish country side passing by. ... caught us off guard today. The whole trip had been going so well but all is well that ends well when a quick call to a relatively little known ( a cousin's son) was only too happy to put us up for the night. His first question was " will I light the sauna?" even though we were still an hour away and it would have been after 11pm! This visit with Jari and his wife was great even if it was only an over nighter.

... naturally at a shout from the boss we jogged (yes, we actually jogged!) in to join the players and the families for a bite to eat in the canteen-type place (or portacabin as we affectionately called it).
The players were given the option to travel back to their hotel with their families, so Kaz, Kelly, Leanne, Jonno, Jody and Rach joined us on our quiet trek back to Helsinki.
Back at the players' hotel we were given instructions to sit in the meeting rooms and wait ...
